How to Apply

HOW TO APPLY ONLINE

Applying to the Uganda National Institute for Teacher Education (UNITE) is simple and can be completed entirely online through the UNITE Online Admissions Portal.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Please ensure you have the following:

  1. A valid email address that you can access
  2. A valid mobile phone number
  3. A stable internet connection

Scanned copies of your academic documents (where applicable)

STEP 1: ACCESS THE ONLINE APPLICATION PORTAL

Visit the UNITE Online Admissions Portal:

https://apply.unite.ac.ug

STEP 2: CREATE AN ACCOUNT
New Applicants Click Register Now and complete the registration form using your details exactly as they appear on your academic documents. You will be required to provide:
  1. Surname
  2. Other Names
  3. Email Address
  4. Telephone Number
  5. Gender
Important
  • Your email address and telephone number must be unique and must not have been used previously by another applicant.
  • Your registration details cannot be edited after registration. Please ensure all information is accurate before submitting.
Once registration is successful:
  1. You will be redirected to the Login page.
  2. A One-Time Password (OTP) or login password will be sent to both your registered email address and mobile phone via SMS.
  3. Check your email inbox and SMS for your login credentials.
Returning Applicants Click Login and sign in using:
  1. Your email address or
  2. Your telephone number
Enter your password and complete any email verification if prompted.
STEP 3: SEARCH FOR AN ACTIVE ADMISSION SCHEME
After logging in:
  1. Browse or search for available admission schemes.
  2. Search by:
  • Programme
  • Scheme name
  • Scheme type
  • Keywords
Before applying, carefully read the scheme description and eligibility requirements.
STEP 4: SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION
  1. Click Apply Now on your preferred admission scheme.
  2. Complete all required application details.
  3. Upload the required supporting documents, such as:
  • O-Level results
  • A-Level results
  • Academic transcripts or certificates (where applicable)
  1. Review your application carefully.
  1. Click Submit Application.
Congratulations! Your application has been successfully submitted. PAY THE APPLICATION FEE Your application will only be processed after payment of the prescribed application fee. Airtel Money
  1. Dial *185#
  2. Select Option 4 – Pay Bill
  3. Select Option 7 – URA
  4. Select Option 1 – Pay Registered
  5. Enter your PRN/PTN
  6. Follow the prompts to complete payment.
MTN Mobile Money
  1. Dial *165#
  2. Select Option 4 – Payments
  3. Select Option 5 – Fees and Taxes
  4. Select Option 1 – URA
  5. Select Option 1 – With PRN Payments
  6. Enter your Payment Registration Number (PRN)
  7. Follow the prompts to complete payment.
Important: Failure to pay the application fee means your application will not be processed.
STEP 6: TRACK YOUR APPLICATION

Log in to your account at any time to monitor the progress of your application.

Navigate to My Admissions to:

  1. View your application status
  2. Check for updates
  3. Download your admission letter (if admitted)
STEP 7: ACCEPT YOUR ADMISSION OFFER

If you are offered admission:

  1. Download and read your Admission Letter carefully.
  2. Note all important dates and instructions.
  3. Accept your admission offer through the portal.
  4. Follow the registration and reporting instructions provided.
