Office Of The Vice Chancellor

The Office of the Vice Chancellor is the apex executive office of Uganda National Institute for Teacher Education (UNITE). The Vice Chancellor serves as the Chief Executive and Academic Officer of the Institute, providing strategic leadership and overall direction in the implementation of UNITE’s mandate, vision, and mission. The office is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Institute, coordination of all academic, administrative, and financial affairs, and ensuring accountability to the UNITE Council. The Vice Chancellor Chairs Top Management, represents the Institute in external engagements, and ensures compliance with the Universities and Other Tertiary Institutions Act (UOTIA), relevant statutes, and government directives. The office drives institutional excellence, quality assurance, and the pursuit of UNITE’s goal of becoming a global centre of excellence in innovative teacher education.
