UNITE is to have their first intake for the Academic Year 2024/2025 in March 2025. The first intake will serve as the pioneer cohort with which to pilot some of the programmes. Subsequent intakes will be in August, starting in the AY 2025/2026.
Application to UNITE is done online using the students’ portal after a call for application.

Pre-service applicants must possess A’ Level three years back and O’ Level results, both obtained at the same sitting. This condition does not apply to in-service applicants. These are eligible to apply regardless of the number of the years spent since their previous academic qualification in Education.

A candidate is free to choose one preferred campus where to study [Kabaale, Kaliro, Mubende, Muni and Unyama] during application.
All fees including the application fees is payable to URA using a PRN (Payment Reference Number), which is generated by the system.
Applicants must possess the following minimum requirements to be admitted to the Bachelor of Education, Primary degree programme: a. UACE with a minimum of two Principal Passes either in Sciences or Arts all scored at one sitting; b. Holders of a minimum of a second class lower Diploma in Education Primary (DEP) from a recognized institution joining in year two and c. Holders of a minimum of a Second Class Lower Diploma in Education, Primary Education (DEPE) from a recognized institution joining in year two. d. UCE results Admission into the Diploma in Education, Primary programme: a. UCE with a minimum of five credits in teaching subjects at Primary School Level, including English, Mathematics and two science subjects. b. A Grade III Teachers’ Certificate Admission into the Bachelor of Education, Secondary programme a. UACE with a minimum of two Principal Passes either in Sciences or Arts all scored at one sitting; b. Holders of a minimum of a second class lower Diploma in Education Secondary (DES) from a recognized institution joining in year two. c. UCE results

The available study options at UNITE for cohort one include full time and holiday programmes. Other options like evening weekend and online will be available in future.
